"Alpha Dog" is a song written and recorded by American rock band Fall Out Boy. It was released as the first single from their 2009 greatest hits album Believers Never Die - Greatest Hits. It first appeared as a demo on the Welcome to the New Administration mixtape as "ALPHAdog and OMEGAlomaniac". The song, re-recorded in full, was posted for streaming on the band's official website on October 12, 2009.[1] The official release date of the single was 26 October 2009, while the Greatest Hits album the song resides upon was released worldwide November 16 and in the US November 17, 2009.[2] The song is track 15 on Believers Never Die - Greatest Hits. It stands as the band's last single before their undefined hiatus (indefinite break).[3]
